Among Us Logic: The Curse of Novisor is the 28th episode of Among Us Logic and the 4th episode of the Novisor series.

Synopsis[]

You think you know Novisor? You don't know the half of it. Find out the secret origins of Novisor in this haunting episode of GameToons!

Plot[]

We are in the Gap Room of The Airship, now covered in black goo. As the Novisor-ed Veteran, Mr. Cheese, Mr. Egg and Stoner float out of Records, Player, Ninja, Captain and Dr. Doktor run for their lives as the ghosts chase them. Dr Doktor leads everyone to the Cockpit as Ninja desperately starts using his katana to fight them, before jamming it into the door controls to lock the door...

A few hours prior, Baggy and his best friend and crush Blondie pull into an empty drive-in cinema. Duncan pops out of the ticket booth and says hi, startling Baggy, and explains that the movie they're playing, The Curse of Novisor, is a horror. He lies heavily about the experience, saying that the movie has been nominated for the scariest movie in history. Baggy is unsure, but Duncan manages to guilt-trip him into changing his mind by saying he probably isn't cool enough to watch it. Baggy buys two tickets and pulls into a spot as Duncan laughs evilly from his booth.

The movie turns out to be really low-budget and horrible, with most of the props being really cheesy and obviously fake. However, suddenly the screen turns off. Baggy leans out of the car window after hearing voiced as Blondie notes that she can hear them too. Suddenly, Baggy starts breathing into his bag rapidly, which gets Blondie's attention and points at the screen. As it turns out, the "movie" was actually a facade to summon Novisor, who bursts in front of screen and lunges towards the duo as they shriek in fear. Novisor shatters the windshield and rips both their visors out, killing them.

Once Novisor is done, Duncan walks up to the car, opens the doors and takes out Baggy and Blondie's visorless corpses before dumping them in a black pickup truck with 6 other dead victims. Suddenly, he sees Novisor smirk as he glows red and becomes wrapped in red energy. Realizing someone is performing the reviving ritual, Duncan screams that the end is nigh and laughs evilly as the sky turns red. We then cut to The Airship and see the end of the previous Novisor episode, except the phone call happens from Ninja's point of view. After the call abruptly ends, Ninja comments "Novisor..." before a mysterious figure walks in. Ninja grabs his katana to attack the intruder, but the man promises he won't rob or attack Ninja and sits down.

The man introduces himself as Dr. Doktor, and the only person who can help Ninja save Player and defeat Novisor. To help prep Ninja for what's to come, Dr Doktor decides to tell him Novisor's true origin. The more known legend (the one Veteran told in Among Us Logic: The Legend of Novisor) is simply a modern adaptation of the tale, and Novisor's origin goes back hundreds of years. The apparent ghost is actually an ancient, malevolent entity that kills people and forces them into eternal servitude to his will. We see a group of cultists surrounding a white player, chained to the ground, chanting "Novi sors". This is where Novisor's name comes from, and is roughly Latin for "accept fate". The cultists suddenly stop chanting as the victim screams as black goo envelops him, smothering his whole body, before Novisor emerges from the goo. Dr. Doktor says that Novisor needs a vessel, a strong person that he chooses once every so often. He reveals that Player is next in line to be Novisor's host, which is a fate worse than death, and that they need to be careful otherwise Novisor will doom all of them.

We now see the Gap Room of The Airship. Player is fast asleep while hanging from the ceiling thanks to the black goo from earlier, and eventually wakes up. To his shock, Captain is also trapped with him. Player explains about Novisor, but Captain says he does not know anything about him, and that the last thing he can remember was PoopyFarts96 trying to kill him while he was washing in the Shower Room. Apparently, PoopyFart's visor fogged up from the steam and all of his stabs completely missed. Captain simply screamed and collapsed to trick PoopyFarts into thinking he was actually dead. When Player brings up the stab wounds Wizard found on him, Captain says that they were fake.

Right on cue, Ninja and Dr Doktor arrive. Ninja cuts Player and Captain down as Doktor explains that in the previous Novisor episodes, Novisor was just toying with Player, and that they must protect him as he is in grave danger and the key to everything. Suddenly, though, the Novisor-ed Veteran, Stoner, Mr. Cheese and Mr. Egg emerge from Records. The survivors run to the Cockpit as the ghosts chase them, and Ninja locks the door. Dr Doktor gets in the pilot's seat as Novisor opens a giant black portal in front of The Airship. Everyone yells at Doktor to steer the ship away, but Doktor ignores them. He tells Player that where they are going, they "don't need visors to see" and takes off his plague doctor hat, revealing he does not have a visor. The Airship flies straight into the portal as it closes, and the credits roll.

Trivia[]

  • This is the first episode where Ninja speaks English, albeit with a Japanese accent.
  • "Novi sors" actually doesn't translate to anything in English.
  • The long power outage, the drone in the background, then the music playing in the drive-in theater scene could be a reference to Five Nights at Freddy's.
  • When Novisor appears at the cinema, Baggy whips the bag off his head and starts breathing into it rapidly. This is a common anti-anxiety tactic meant to calm breathing and prevent hyperventilation, but it's efficiency is debatable.
  • Dr. Doktorā€™s comment of "Where we're going, we don't need visors to see," may be a reference to a famous line from Back to the Future.
  • This is the third episode to feature two characters of the same color (not including ghosts), the first being Among Us Logic 5, and the second being Among Us Logic: Hacking Security Cams!. The characters are Wizard and Dr Doktor.
  • Since Novisor is revealed to be an ancient, malevolent entity, it's very likely he would have been able to haunt other video games besides Among Us.
  • There are many trinkets in the ticket booth Duncan was in that reference previous Novisor episodes: the items from his stall, a page from the seance book Player used in The Revenge of Novisor, one of Punk's rock posters from his and Aiden's dorm and a photo of the screen on the computer Mr. Egg came out of in Among Us Logic: The Return of Novisor before he killed TheGentleman.
