- In the video where he appears, characters pronounce his name like a compound word ("hero" and "brine"). Another valid pronunciation of his name, according to the community, is "hey-ro-bryn".
- He has never actually existed in a version of Minecraft. Mojang repeatedly puts "Removed Herobrine" in the changelogs for updates as a joke.
- Herobrine was not "removed" in the changelog for the latest (as of this edit) update, Caves and Cliffs pt. 1.
- In Minecraft Logic 3, Herobrine takes Player into a strange, dark, dreamlike dimension after catching him. This seems to be mostly a work of the Gametoons writers' imagination, as Herobrine stories rarely explain what, exactly, this rogue entity does after catching players.
