Minecraft Logic 3: Herobrine is the third episode and the third installment of the Minecraft Logic series by GameToons. In it, Player starts a fresh singleplayer world with the hopes that things will go more smoothly than last time. However, he isn't as alone as he thinks he is.
Plot[]
Player opens up Minecraft and starts a new world. He wants a fresh start. He spawns in a strange, misty forest, leaving him to wonder if he accidentally loaded up an old version of the game. When he leaves to go explore, a mysterious figure who looks like him, but with glowing white eyes, appears in the fog.
Night falls, and Player makes a Bow with the items he has gathered. He comes across a strange tunnel dug into the side of a hill. Something moving around in the fog startles him, and he shoots at it with his bow. It is revealed to be Veterham. When Player runs to help, the white eyes appear in the dark tunnel. Player apologizes to Veterham for shooting him and pulls out the arrow. While Veterham moans about the pain he's in, Player notices that all the nearby trees' leaves have been cut off. Veterham tells Player that "some guy" has been watching them the whole time, so Player turns around just in time to see the white-eyed stranger teleporting away. Player chases after him, forgetting his bow. He chases Herobrine past a grove of trees with threatening signs posted to them, and then almost falls off a cliff. Veterham catches up to him and tells him that the mysterious figure is likely Herobrine. Since Player has no idea who that is, Veterham tells him the legend: he's a rogue entity that stalks and sometimes hunts players, teleporting around and resisting Mojang's attempts to patch him out. If anyone tries to tell others about Herobrine, he sends them messages over the Internet warning them to stop. As soon as Veterham finishes his story, Herobrine abruptly swoops up and grabs Player, pulling him down the cliff. Player screams as he falls, eventually ending up in a black void. Herobrine's eyes flash in the dark and Player demands that he show himself. Suddenly, the ghost's eyes appear massive and bright in front of Player, as creepy whispers and Player's name said over and over again are heard. It's then revealed that it was Veterham saying his name and trying to get him to wake up. Veterham is shocked that Player survived a confrontation with Herobrine, which he described as an "endless tomb of despair and sadness." Player, shell-shocked from the experience, decides that he should stop playing Minecraft for a while and logs off. As Veterham walks offscreen, there is a long pause, and then Herobrine's eyes appear in the fog one more time. The credits roll in silence.
Characters[]
Trivia[]
- This episode does not show Veterham wiggling his snout to indicate that he is speaking, unlike the previous two.
- When Veterham is explaining the story of Herobrine and the shot of the Minecraft forums is shown, one thread title reads "Minecraft Logic??" in reference to GameToons.
- The Minecraft forums do not have an instant messaging feature, or at least they did not in 2010 when the original Herobrine creepy-pasta was posted. In it, the narrator said that they received a private message from him that said, "Stop."
- The new thumbnail shows Alex, the other default skin for Minecraft, even though Alex has never appeared in a Minecraft Logic video.
Errors[]
- Player fired an arrow although he only had a bow.
